The Three Intergenerational Women Artists, curated by Myung Deering, portrays the artistic differences through the works of three intergenerational women artists in Myung’s family. The artists are: Soon Kim, grandmother, Ah-young Kim, sister, and Li ‘n Lee (aka Leanne Jan Lee), granddaughter.
Senior Arts Foundation is delighted to introduce this exciting exhibit through the Senior Artist Reception Program.
“Pattern and symbols can express a generation of tradition. They mark human existenceand define culture, leaving traces of time spent and values developed.I am translating the landscape of masses – an amalgam of boundaries and borders that connect us to our past and our potential future.”
The Senior Arts Foundation was established in 2007 as a non-profit organization in order to promote and support senior citizens' creativity in the area of arts. SAF aims to encourage senior citizens over 55 years old who are interested in the arts by providing opportunities to demonstrate their creativities through juried exhibitions and other art activities, to educate them with the open arts and community forum, to connect them to art events with transportation assistance and to utilize their talents in getting them involved in intergenerational programs.
Also SAF will organize scholarship and sponsorship programs to assist senior citizen artists and community senior citizen arts projects. SAF will coordinate, plan, organize and execute senior arts projects in all forms of artistic activities, researches and studies.
